Billing Overview
Hatcher billing is built around explicit owner authorization. Standard checkout is a one-time transaction that buys a fixed tier or addon window, and card checkout does not auto-renew. A separate opt-in Solana recurring authorization is available for eligible monthly USDC plan and AI Credit purchases.

The basics
- Every paid tier and subscription agent-slot addon is sold as a 30-day (monthly) or 365-day (annual) window.
- Annual billing gets a flat 15% discount — pay once, cover 365 days.
- Lifetime is reserved for Founding Member ($99 one-time, limited to 20 slots platform-wide).
- One-time AI Credit packs add hosted-usage balance without changing your tier.
Renewals stack days
Hitting Renew on your current tier during an active window adds +30 (or +365) days to your existing expiry — it doesn’t reset. You never lose time you’ve already paid for.
Upgrades grant AI Credits
Upgrading from a lower tier to a higher tier (e.g. Starter → Pro) starts a fresh window now on the new tier, and grants prorated AI Credits for the unused portion of the old tier.
Example: 20 days into a 30-day Starter window, upgrade to Pro. Hatcher grants AI Credits for the remaining 10 days based on the allowance difference between Starter and Pro.
Works for on-chain payments and Stripe card checkout. AI Credits are not cash-equivalent and do not buy tiers or addons.
Downgrades take effect at expiry
Downgrades are non-destructive. You keep the current tier’s features until the current window expires. Then:
- If the new tier has fewer agent slots than the number of agents you have, the newest agents beyond the cap are paused (containers stopped, all data and config preserved). Free a slot or re-upgrade to resume them.
- You can also downgrade implicitly — just don’t renew. The account falls back to Free when the window ends.
Founding Member
$99 one-time for lifetime access with 10 agents, 25,000 AI Credits/month, 4 CPU / 6 GB RAM, 40 GB workspace, and founding community role/tag. Capped at 20 slots total platform-wide. Live remaining count is exposed via the public /features endpoint and shown on the billing page.
Founding Member ignores the annual toggle — the price is fixed at $99 flat, paid once.
